I am really not a fan of fruit pies since most are simply the fruit and the crust. But the best Cherry Pie i have ever had has a wonderfully fluffy whipped center and is so simple to make it is even NO BAKE!
Here is the recipe, try it for yourself and let me know what you think.
1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
In a medium mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until light and fluffy. Fold in whipped topping and blend until mixture is smooth. Spread into graham cracker crust and spoon pie filling over top. Cover with plastic wrap and chill 2 hours before serving.
Make for the sun... this in 1 1/2 hours
